Becoming a part of Beautiful Edibles Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a relationship between our farms and you as our customer. Rather than simply purchasing food, our customers become “members” of this CSA who receive a portion of the farm’s harvest. Your membership share will include 5-7 fresh vegetables, fruits or herbs every week. Summer Share is for 20 weeks starting in May and ending in October based on what is in season. Fall Share is for 8 weeks starting in October and ending in December. We offer the option to pick up your share or choose delivery. Delivery service is an additional charge for 2022. The locally grown fresh produce will come from Beautiful Edibles and 4Gardens.
We mentor beginning farms who will provide items when available. Your share helps us support mentoring these new farmers to develop their production skills and build farms.
See our Membership Agreement for Fees, pickup, delivery and other details.
We take the safety of your family and ours seriously.
We are certified by the Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training Course
2022 Summer CSA Members have the option to add-on shares from Steckler Grassfed Farms available or shop for items in Local Source. Add-on shares and purchases are available of local pasture-raised meats, and eggs from Steckler Grassfed, LLC.
You must be a CSA share member, to purchase the Steckler Grassfed Farms shares.
Beautiful Edibles grows year round using minimum climate controls and season extension technics. We try to do this as sustainably as possible by selecting crop varieties that do well in each season without costly heating and cooling methods. We also strive to use as much of the edible portions of plants whenever possible. Bloom to roots crops keeps our waste low and allows consumers to appreciate unique eating experiences from history and cultures.
We use Organic growing methods and are transitioning to Regenerative Agriculture. Regenerative is a conservation and rehabilitation approach to food and farming systems. It focuses on topsoil regeneration, increasing biodiversity, improving the water cycle, enhancing ecosystem services, supporting biosequestration, increasing resilience to climate change, and strengthening the health and vitality of farm soil. Practices include recycling as much farm waste as possible and only adding materials from trusted sources outside the farm. Produce is grown without using specific conventional pesticides, fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients, sewage sludge, bioengineering, or ionizing radiation. For more information about organic or regenerative production methods please ask. We’d be happy to tell you more.
